Khedup Yonten Gyatso
Khedup Yonten Gyatso is a 23 yrs. old reincarnated lama from Sera Goen in Chamdo District, Tibet. He speaks Chinese and Tibetan. He studied Tibetan grammar, poetry, and Buddhist philosophy at Dzongsar Institute, Tibet. He has intensively studied Classical Tibetan and his specialty is Sakya Pandita’s Pramanayuktinidhi.
His goal is to be able to interpret and translate Buddhist texts into other languages and to propagate the Dharma. His reasons that “life is too short, and if I could become able to do this kind of beneficial job, it would be like finding a precious jewel”.
He wants to study Mandarin mainly, but also English. Khedup Yonten Gyatso says that if he becomes a friend with someone, then, from the bottom of his heart, he becomes a friend forever, with no judgement.
